OpenMTA

Overview

OpenMTA is a server for sending and receiving electronic mail over a network. It's major design goals are simplicity, security, and efficiency. It has a number of interesting features, and is free software.

News and Project Status

OpenMTA is currently in alpha status which means it is only suitable for developers and testers. Do not use OpenMTA on a production network.

  • 3/18/2006 - The initial code drop for OpenMTA 0.1 was made today, containing a working or partially working implementation of SMTP, POP3, IMAP, and HTTP servers.
